This Cookie Policy explains how jakethewizard.com (the “Site”), operated by Jake Tlapek, uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website (or a third-party service it uses) stores in your browser. They’re widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to understand how a site is used. “Similar technologies” include things like localStorage, which I use to remember that you’ve seen the cookie notice.
The cookies this Site uses
The Site itself is intentionally light. The main categories are:

Third-party cookies are governed by the providers that set them. I don’t control their cookies and recommend reviewing their policies for specifics.
Advertising & measurement
I use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure how my advertising performs and to reach relevant audiences on Facebook and Instagram. When you take a key action — such as submitting a form or starting a booking — that event is shared with Meta together with hashed identifiers (for example, a hashed version of your email) used only to match the action to a Meta account. I do not sell your personal information. Outside the EEA and UK these tools are on by default; you can switch them off at any time by choosing Decline on the cookie notice. Inside the EEA and UK they stay off until you choose Accept.
How to control cookies
You’re in control. You can:
- Use the Decline option on the cookie notice to record that preference.
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Most browsers let you do this per-site or globally — see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
- Block third-party content (such as embedded video) using your browser’s privacy controls or an extension. Note that blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Changes to this policy
I may update this Cookie Policy as the Site’s tools change. When I do, I’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
